Denise Abreu – General Psychologist and Counselling Psychologist Registrar MAppPsych(Couns), B.Psych
Denise provides therapy to children, adolescents and adults. Her special interest areas include Depression, Anxiety, neuro-developmental disorders, spirituality and Christianity, sexuality and sexual health. Denise works from Tuesday to Saturday, including some evenings.

Denise says: “I am passionate about working together with clients, assisting them to increase their quality of life and get back on track to do the things they love doing. I believe in early interevention and engage easily with people of all ages, including children and adolescents. I use a strengths-based focus, with a wide variety of approaches to ensure a client-centred, individualised service that best suits my clients and their needs."

Julia Caldwell - Clinical Psychologist BBehavSc(Hons), MPsych(Clin), PhD(Cand)

Julia provides therapy to older adolescents and adults. Her special interest areas include Depression, Anxiety, trauma, relationship difficulties, work-related difficulties, perinatal mental health and feelings of shame, self-blame and self-criticism. Julia works on Saturdays.

Julia says: "After our work together, my hope is that you are able to move forward in your life with meaning, purpose and vitality. I use strategies from Compassion Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, but I aim to tailor my approach to your concerns so we make the best use of our time together."

Erin Carloss - General Psychologist BPsych(Hons), MPsych(Ed & Dev), MAPS

Erin provides therapy to children, adolescents and adults. Her special interest areas include Depression, Anxiety, parenting and attachment, child development (including developmental delays, trauma and transitions), child behaviour and emotional regulation. Erin will be joining us in January 2018 and working from Tuesday to Saturday, including some evenings.

Erin says: "I am passionate about working with people at all stages across the lifespan, with particular interests in pregnancy, parenting, attachment and child development. I like to work collaboratively with clients, to understand and support them, and believe in early intervention and psycho-education. I use Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, mindfulness and Solution-Focused Therapy, and tailor my approach to best suit my client’s needs."

Christophe Cosson – General Psychologist PGradDipPsych, B.Psych, Assoc. MAPS
Christ provides therapy to adolescents and adults. His special interest areas include Depression, Anxiety, Adjustment Disorder, phobias, anger management, relationship difficulties, trauma and self-esteem issues. Chris works on Fridays. 

Chris says: “I enjoy helping people to identify, work towards and achieve their goals. I use a framework which includes Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Schema Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Solution-Focused Therapy, and draw on my motivational techniques, friendly and caring nature and solution-focused approach when working with clients."

Maria Giovannetti – General Psychologist PGradDipPsych, B.Psych, Assoc. MAPS
Maria provides therapy to older adolescents and adults. Her special interest areas include Depression, Anxiety, phobias, Adjustment Disorder, parenting challenges, grief or loss, Bipolar Disorder and work difficulties. Maria speaks Italian. Maria works from Monday to Wednesday, including evenings. 

Maria says: “I am dedicated to helping people lead happier, healthier and more enjoyable lives. I use Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Schema Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, motivational interviewing and Solution-Focused Therapy, and tailor my approach to each person’s personality and unique circumstances, in an environment where they feel safe, supported and valued.”

Vidya Pachipala - General Psychologist BA, MSc(Psych), PGradDipProfPsych, MAPS

Vidya provides therapy to children, adolescents and adults. Her special interest areas include Depression, Anxiety, stress, trauma, work-related difficulties, self-esteem, grief and loss and addictions. Vidya particularly enjoys working with couples and people experiencing relationship difficulties. Vidya also speaks Hindi, Kannada, Telugu and Tamil. Vidya works from Wednesday to Friday. 

Vidya says "I am passionate about working with people of all ages and assisting them in their life journeys. I believe in client-focused therapy where client needs are paramount. I work with people with a collaborative approach to understand their needs and provide therapy using a variety of therapeutic approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy and grief counselling that best suits their needs. I enjoy working with children and adolescents and helping them with emotional regulation issues, attachment and parenting issues, learning difficulties, behavioural issues, self-esteem and bullying."

Lia Panarello - General Psychologist (Counselling Psychologist) PGradDipPsych(Hons), GDipCouns, BA

Lia provides therapy to children, adolescents and adults. Her special interest areas include Depression, Anxiety, child and adolescent emotions and behaviour, anger management, complex trauma, grief and loss and career counselling. Lia also enjoys working with culturally and linguistically diverse people and speaks Italian. Lia works on Wednesday and Thursdays. 

Lia says: "I have a warm and empathetic approach. I have extensive expertise in child and adolescent development, and am particularly passionate about working with disadvantaged and marginalised youth and young adults who are experiencing mental health, juvenile justice and social justice issues. I enjoy working with clients who are taking the courageous first step to seeking help, and with a solution focused and client centred approach, I believe that anything is possible, and that the past does not dictate who you are or who you want to be. I use a range of other evidence-based approaches including Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness, Cognitive Analytic Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Motivational Enhancement Therapy and Psychodynamic Psychotherapy."

Sarah Rotolone – General Psychologist B.Psyc.Sc, MCouns, Assoc. MAPS
Sarah provides therapy to adolescents and adults. Her special interest areas include Depression, Anxiety, parenting and pregnancy concerns, grief or loss, domestic violence, chronic illness/pain and work difficulties. Sarah works on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. 

Sarah says: “I enjoy helping my clients to achieve a deeper sense of balance and purpose in their lives. I use Mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy to help them identify and work towards goals in a supportive, client centred environment. I have a particular interest in the mind/body connection and health and believe that people are capable of great change.”
