Headspace Work & Study Inala

Available at headspace Inala – free support to young people aged 15-25 helping them work towards their educational and employment goals.

We help young people aged 15-25 with:

  • Looking for and applying for jobs
  • Writing a resume and cover letter
  • Preparing for a job interview
  • Exploring your study options
  • Enrolling in study
  • Navigating community support services such as the Centrelink system
  • Understanding your workplace rights
  • Transitioning into a new job or course
  • Balancing your mental health and wellbeing with work or study

The support we provide doesn’t end when a young person achieves their goals, we continue to provide support and guidance for as long as it is needed.

Matching young people with opportunities

We carefully match our clients with opportunities that fit their goals, skills and attitude. We do this by:

  • Building a strong relationship with client and understanding their strengths
  • Goal setting
  • Mentoring and guidance with any work experience, education or placements to assist with long term career goals
  • Connecting with other support services and professionals when needed
  • Having access to an education and employment network

We work with a number of businesses in Inala and surrounding suburbs to give our clients as much opportunity as we can whilst providing an employment solution for local businesses.

Post placement support

Once we match young people with an employment opportunity we continue to provide background support to help them settle into their new role and workplace environment.

Ongoing support:
  • Weekly check-in calls
  • Support with workplace culture and adjustments
  • Coaching and mentoring for conflict resolution
  • Confidence building tools
  • Someone to talk to for any concerns or advice

headspace Inala

This service is run at our headspace Inala Centre. headspace is all about providing a space where young people can simply be themselves. At headspace Inala we deliver a number of services to help support young people with their mental health and wellbeing our centre has a number of mental health practitioners, GPs and Psychologists under one roof.
