She is an experienced Psychologist and Counsellor with over 20 years of experience in providing counselling support to adolescents (aged 15+) and adults. Her areas of practice include Acceptance Commitment Therapy, Positive Psychology, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Compassion Focussed Therapy and schema work. Her interest areas are anxiety, adjustment difficulties, self-confidence, self-compassion, body image, goal setting, motivation, psychological resilience, values identification and goal setting. Zarinah has experience working with adolescents and adults from a range of ages and cultural backgrounds, her approach is culturally sensitive approach and neurodivergent affirming. She also works extensively with university students and has successfully developed and facilitated group based programs and workshops in the areas of body image, confidence, brain neuroplasticity, resilience building, self-compassion. She currently facilitates a confidence program based on the use of signature strengths. Zarinah believes in the ability of each person to achieve their goals and live a values guided life, and she appreciates the privilege of being part of someone’s support team. She is warm, passionate, determined and optimistic, and will provide you with a safe space in which you can explore your difficulties and set goals for the future. She is a Board Approved Supervisor who has an interest in compassionate leadership, and she has recently been a Woman of Colour Australia mentor. She is of Muslim faith. In the time outside the counselling room she enjoys searching for good coffee, road trips, live music, exploring great weekend markets and spending time with the cat.

Rupa is a General Psychologist who provides therapy to adults, adolescents and children. Her areas of special interest are Depression, Anxiety, Stress, Adjustment Disorder and ADHD. Lauren provides therapy to adults. Her special interest areas include anxiety, trauma, adjustment disorders, individuals struggling with self-compassion and feelings of shame and those diagnosed with ADHD as an adult. Lauren is passionate about assisting individuals to improve their quality of life and develop a closer relationship to themselves, others and the world around them. Lauren feels privileged to work with clients and would love at the end of sessions together for clients to have more compassion and acceptance of themselves and their human struggles, feel more connected to people they care about and obtain strategies for managing painful thoughts and emotions in order to lead rich and meaningful lives. Lauren has a sense of humour and where appropriate loves to bring this into sessions, having a laugh and relating to struggles we have as human beings. Lauren believes everyone is doing their best at the time with the resources they have and strives to create an environment where people can express vulnerabilities freely without judgement and recognise their self-worth. Lauren is a Clinical Psychologist with over 10 years’ experience. Lauren completed a Bachelor of Psychology Degree with First Class Honours at Griffith University. Lauren received a University Medal for Psychology, obtained for achieving high excellence over the four-year psychology degree. She also received an Academic Achievement of Excellence Award for each year, awarded to students who have a cumulative career GPA of at least 6.0 and is a member of the Golden Key International Honour Society, received for being in the top 15% of her class. Lauren then completed a Masters in Clinical Psychology at Queensland University of Technology, before then obtaining her Clinical endorsement.

In her sessions, Alison applies a variety of counselling styles to her work with adults. She is outcome focused and often uses Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) in combination with Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness. She helps her clients clarify their values and goals and take action to improve their lives. She is passionate about helping people find strength and joy in themselves, their work and their relationships. Alison provides client centred care in a compassionate, non-judgmental and confidential environment to help with a wide range of emotional, behavioural and interpersonal difficulties. Including anxiety, depression, anger, stress, grief and loss, self-esteem and confidence, trauma and adjustment to major life changes and events. Alison particularly enjoys working with older adults and people experiencing career and work-related difficulties.

Dr Lena Zhang is a registered clinical psychologist and board approved supervisor. She graduated with a Doctor of Psychology (Clinical Psychology) from The University of Queensland and has been practising for more than 14 years. Her extensive experience includes working with a diverse group of clients in university-based clinics, hospital and educational settings, and community public mental health service. She has also been part of the Accoras’ family since the commencement of its’ psychology clinic. Lena’s special interest areas include anxiety, depression, interpersonal difficulties, mindfulness, trauma, emotional regulation difficulties, Borderline Personality Disorder and Bipolar Affective Disorder. She is trained to utilise a variety of therapeutic approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy and Schema Therapy. Lena particularly enjoys working with adolescents and adults as well as people from a culturally and linguistically diverse background.

Liria is passionate about assisting clients to identify and explore their inner strengths and resources and achieve their full potential. Her special interest areas include Depression, Anxiety, Adjustment Disorder, loss and grief, Bereavement, adult ADHD, life and workplace-related stress, relationship difficulties, self-defeating patterns of behaviour, low self-esteem and emotional detachment. Liria utilises different approaches, including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Schema Therapy, and Schema-Focused Cognitive Therapy within a Person-Centred framework. Liria provides therapy to adults (18+), and is fluent in both Spanish and English.
Outside of her psychology practice Liria enjoys listening to music, learning Italian, playing scrabble and word games, reading non-fiction and Science, collecting rare Australian coins, bird watching, walking in nature, travelling, and spending time with family and friends.

For the standard rates – we can provide a copy of the paid invoice for a client to submit to their Private Health Insurance – where psychology is covered – and they will receive a rebate/refund, up to their policy limits.

Much of your first session will be getting to know you and understanding your history and any issues you may be experiencing. This may involve asking you personal questions or require you to fill out some questionnaires.
Your psychologist will work with you to create a plan for treatment and answer any questions you may have.
