2021 Annual Report

CEO and Board Chair Welcome Excerpt:

“In looking back on another challenging year, we are pleased to report that Accoras has continued to demonstrate agility, flexibility and resilience, and an unwavering organisational commitment to our values. Our approach has seen our clients and communities continue to receive the support they needed at all times, regardless of the ongoing challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic. All Accoras staff and contractors deserve recognition for their efforts in making this happen.

In the last year, Accoras has continued to grow and deliver more services to more people in more locations. As we celebrate our achievements, and highlight our plans for the future, we would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge our partners. The strength and depth of collaboration with our community, funders and corporate partners has allowed us to work in innovative ways to identify and respond to previously unmet needs across South-East Queensland and Northern New South Wales. This is particularly evident through our work in partnership with key funders and partners to deliver the National Psychosocial Support Measure pilot for children and young people in the Logan-Beaudesert region, and our Attachment and Bio-behavioural Catch-up pilot for infants and their caregivers across the Accoras geographic footprint.

Finally, on behalf of all of Accoras, we express our heartfelt admiration for our clients. The resilience and grit that we have seen displayed by individuals and families through this year in the face of significant difficulties, illness and hardship has been exceptional. We are grateful for their enthusiasm and engagement with our services, and their positive responses to our increasing suite of early intervention programs and supports.

We look forward to another year of making a difference for our clients and communities, as we continue to work towards our vision of ‘good mental health for all’.

John Davidson (Board Chair) and Rebecca Culverhouse (CEO)”
