Our team, from the Board of Directors through to staff and contractors at all sites, are a diverse group of individuals passionate about helping others to live happy, healthy lives.

We are a Mental Health First Aid 'Gold MHFA Skilled Workplace', which means at least 40% of our team have completed Mental Health First Aid. All team members have the opportunity to participate in specialised cultural capacity building and multicultural mental health annually, to help develop their knowledge and skillset in working with our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and culturally and linguistically diverse communities. Our team are also drawn from a wide variety of backgrounds and expertise, including those who identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander, speak a language other than English at home and those who have lived experience of mental health, either personally or in caring for a family member or friend. This approach allows us to work more meaningfully with our clients, including through use of a peer support model and in providing culturally safe support.

The Accoras Board of Directors and Executive Team is made up of local General Practitioners, Allied Health Professionals, business people and organisational leaders who are committed to improving mental health support for the people of South-East Queensland. The team have a wealth of knowledge and a passion for improving the wellbeing of our clients, and working innovatively to deliver services.
Dr Ilona Szabo Board Chair
Dr Ilona Szabo is the Chair of the Accoras Board of Directors. Ilona has a medical career spanning more than 30 years, and is still practicing as a GP in our local community. Ilona has a special interest in Board governance.
Dr Camilla Andrews Director
Dr Camilla Andrews has acquired more than 30 years’ experience as a GP and still practices in our local community. Camilla is passionate about research and evaluation, organisational governance and the not-for-profit sector generally.
Brian Donaldson Director
Brian Donaldson is the Managing Director of Donaldson Consulting Group, which assists organisations in managing and recovering change. Brian specialises in turning strategies into actions with strong focus on risk management. Brian is also a member of the Accoras Finance, Audit and Risk Management Committee.
Sean McCoola Director
Sean McCoola is a physiotherapist and the owner of Maximize Health. He has more than 20 years’ experience working with a large network of health providers and sports communities. Sean is also the Chair of the Accoras Finance, Audit and Risk Management Committee.
Rebecca Culverhouse Chief Executive Officer
Rebecca leads the organisation by drawing on her strong background and qualifications in large-scale people and operational management. Rebecca has high-level expertise in contributing to and communicating business visions, strategies and objectives to senior managers, teams and individuals and creating successful, high performing working environments.
Amy Wong Finance Officer and Company Secretary
Amy oversees all financial compliance, planning and feasibility, reporting and company secretarial functions of the organisation. Her expertise in financial management draws from many years in retail, business services and professional accountancy settings. Amy has extensive experience in efficient and effective financial management, including federal and state funding and grants
