Cody’s mum was worried about Cody’s refusal to go to school. When he did manage to attend, his anxiety was through the roof.

Robbie is a mother of two boys, who the Accoras SIFS team started working with just over 6 months ago. She is a victim-survivor of domestic family violence from a previous situation, and has had to have treatment for cancer.

After not attending school for over a year, Robbie outlook of the future was bleak. He had attempted suicide, and regularly though about it. He was struggling to manage anger and conflict, especially with his mum, leading to a tense, strained home environment.

Casey, just 9 years old, was struggling with anxiety induced tics, and unable to comfortably interact socially at school. She relied on daily check ins with the School Guidance Officer for support, so she could get through each day.

The journey for Tom required a number of teams to help him see hope once again, which is one of the strengths of Accoras - being able to access timely support across different programs and teams.

Here’s what’s really important - she now works at a leading multi-location spa business, with a brighter future ahead.

This has made Mary and her family feel far more safe and stable. After years of attempting to get help, our Accoras Case Coordinator delivered it in weeks. Mary’s relationship with her kids is stronger, and they are able to enjoy life’s little pleasures again. They can go out for pizza, buy juice for the kids, and have a sense of security for the future.

With support from our Case Coordinator, Stevie has experienced a huge sense of relief in knowing she is breaking down the employment barriers. She’s working towards her Cert III towards a different future for herself and her daughters.

Tracy had unsuccessfully engaged with other supports before, resulting in her being extremely wary and nervous.

Because of the actions from Accoras ParentsNext, Georgia successfully completed her Real Estate Licence Course in October 2023, far earlier than if she ever thought possible. She immediately gained full time employment with a reputable, well known Real Estate firm.
